Thermacell Consolidates Its Buford Operations in a 256,000-Square-Foot Facility

Thermacell, the mosquito repellent manufacturer, has consolidated its two Buford operations into a single 256,000-square-foot facility at 3157 Buford Highway, a $4 million move announced by Partnership Gwinnett in February 2025 and reported complete in Gwinnett Daily Post coverage.

The expansion

Thermacell, the manufacturer of zone mosquito repellents, has consolidated its two Buford operations into a single 256,000-square-foot facility at 3157 Buford Highway, inside the Prologis Buford Highway Business Center. Partnership Gwinnett announced the $4 million capital investment in February 2025, and the Gwinnett Daily Post reported the completed expansion, with coverage updated in April 2026.

The move brings together Thermacell's distribution center on Gainesville Highway and its manufacturing facility on Distribution Drive under one roof, centralizing roughly 60 full-time Gwinnett employees and increasing the company's overall capacity by about 38%.

Where it sits on the map

Buford sits on the Gwinnett and Hall county line, a short drive from Mulberry and Hamilton Mill, and it is one of the corridor's established employment and retail anchors. The Buford brief and the Gwinnett County hub carry the running account of the county's industrial base.

The measured read

A 60-employee consolidation is not a headline project, but it is the kind of quiet retention story that matters as much as the big announcements: an established manufacturer choosing to grow in place, on the same Buford Highway corridor that serves the county's distribution economy.

For buyers, the signal is the same one this site has used all year: the corridor's job base is compounding in place, which keeps the commute ring and the school district the two numbers that matter most.
