Is AI making decisions about my home?

Answered by Rob Dietrich, REALTOR® eXp Realty, LLC Published September 6, 2026

The Short Answer

Is AI making decisions about my home?

No. AI assembles information and drafts analysis; it does not decide. Every decision about your search, offer, price or strategy is made by a person, usually Rob, and reviewed by the licensed parties the deal requires. The tool is the analyst in the back room, not the agent at the table.

Rob's Explanation

The machine gathers, compares, drafts and reminds. The agent provides local judgment, negotiation, walk-throughs, liability and the relationship.

Contracts, disclosures, financing contingencies and closings are legal processes with real consequences. An algorithm does not sign, and neither should it.

What This Means in Georgia

Georgia's licensing structure puts a responsible, licensed party on the transaction regardless of the tools used, so the human oversight is not a courtesy; it is the structure.

What I Would Consider

Ask what is machine-drafted and what is human-decided on any engagement. The division of labor should be explicit: faster analysis on one side, human judgment on the other.
